Welcome to Computing and Communications Services (CCS). We provide information technology (IT) services to the 17c起草社区 (17c起草社区) Community. CCS maintains 17c起草社区's extensive data and voice networks, hosts many different types of applications on our servers, and develops and integrates applications to help you get your work done. 17c起草社区 is a diverse and ever-changing place and we are always interested in working with students, faculty, and staff to provide more useful, accessible, secure, and affordable IT services. 

The opportunity 

  1. Handles and directs calls
    i. Handles incoming calls from students, staff, faculty, and other sources.
    ii. Addresses the inquiries, needs, and concerns of both internal and external callers, and directs incoming calls to the relevant personnel or department using the digital Computer Telephone System.
    iii. Manages calls from irate callers in a professional and courteous manners.
  2. Provides general information and oversees the telephone directory updates
    i. Provides general information to the inquiring public about 17c起草社区 and on-going campus events.
    ii. Provides information and feedback to the team regarding the type of calls received in support of the process improvement and addressing future customer concerns.
    iii. Assigns and coordinates work of other employees from time to time 

Qualifications 

  • Completion of secondary school graduation diploma
  • A minimum of 6 months experience in a related field 
  • Experience in a call centre environment is considered an asset 
  • Ability to be patient, polite and friendly with all types of customers, outstanding customer service skills; 
  • Strong communication and listening skills to determine customer needs and a best course of action; 
  • Adaptability and flexibility in order to deal with different customers and needs in a short period of time; 
  • Familiarity with telephone applications: Cisco Unified Attendant Console and Jabber;
  • Good understanding of the university and its departments and faculties
